This body of work is a self-analysis of my rhetoric and internal thoughts, resulting from a list of filler words I compiled which invade my daily speech. Action exists in the pause – the action of maneuvering through the installations is a metaphor for the imaginative navigation of language ongoing inside my mind when dialogue stalls for time, imparting weightless words. The words reveal themselves slowly over the course of an extended period of time, similar to moments when words elude and time seems to unravel slowly. The bold colors and fonts mock my quiet nature, accentuating the oddity and discomfort I often find in the need to be loud or more apparent.
